Formula 01 — 2-DDR Sustained-Release Scalp Serum

Key characteristics

• Delivery matches the evidence. The published work on 2-deoxy-D-ribose used an alginate sustained-release hydrogel. This serum uses the same matrix approach rather than a simple fast-release gel.
• Clean alginate matrix. No sodium chloride, zinc, or copper salts are added. Divalent cations crosslink alginate uncontrolled. A chelator is included specifically to protect the matrix from stray calcium and magnesium.
• Adenosine at exactly 0.75%. This is the Japanese quasi-drug standard concentration. The mechanism is receptor-mediated and saturates; higher levels do not buy additional activity. The dose was chosen from the evidence rather than rounded for a label claim.
• Sodium phytate at 0.10% does three jobs. It protects the alginate, potentiates the preservative, and functions as a documented anti-glycation agent. 2-Deoxy-D-ribose is a reducing sugar; pairing it with a metal chelator plus antioxidants covers the recognised anti-glycation routes.

How to use

1. Shower and dry completely. Water left on the scalp dilutes the matrix and shortens residence time.
2. Apply to the scalp, not the hair length. A few drops are usually enough. Focus on the scalp surface.
3. Massage lightly into a thin film. Do not rinse.
4. Leave until the next shower (typically 12–24 hours).
